Abloom Pose - Puṣpitasana - पुष्पित
(Abloom - bursting into flowers)

This pose was a starting point which allowed me to hang in there. First, I learned this pose, and the balance associated with standing on my hands. Then, I started to stick handstands, because I had gained strength, balance, and slowing down the mind and breathing while upside down. Finally, I started into a tuck handstand. This is more of a Tortoise approach to improving your arm balance, inversion, handstand, and transition practice; as opposed to the Hare. Don’t let this approach fool you. When the Hares are all out at “Happy Hour,” you’re in class — continually refining and improving your strength game.
